Urban Water Agenda

Consultation process

The Urban Water Agenda 2030 is co-designed by local governments, other stakeholders in the water sector and the European Commission through three parallel processes:

  1. the regular consultation of the more than 20 members of the UWA2030 Core Group of Cities – mainly composed of local government representatives, but also including a few water utilities between April and October 2017;
  2. an extended consultation will run from 14 June to 5 July 2017, involving some 100 local governments all across Europe as well as various stakeholders;
  3. a lighter interaction with the EUROCITIES Working Group Water which has been attributed the role of a ‘Sounding Board’ for eliciting further inputs from a city perspective at their regular half-yearly meetings.
